Crickhowell Taxis has been providing reliable transport for over 50 years, supporting businesses, schools and private clients across South Wales. Built on consistency and word of mouth, the business has grown from a local taxi service into a trusted regional transport provider.
Over 50 Years
The business was founded in 1969 in Crickhowell by Gareth Jones, with the support of his parents, Megan and Dennis. It began as a small local taxi service, built on reliability, hard work and looking after customers properly.
Over time, the business grew through repeat work and reputation, expanding beyond local journeys into airport transfers, contract work, events and wider travel across the UK.
Gareth and his wife Ann have run and shaped the business for decades, maintaining a straightforward approach. Turn up on time, do the job properly and keep things simple.
Their son Aled is now part of the business, continuing the family involvement into the next generation.
Today, much of the work takes place across South Wales, including Abergavenny, Brecon, Merthyr Tydfil, Ebbw Vale, Monmouth, Newport and Cardiff.
While the scale of the work has changed, the way the business operates has not. Reliable service, clear communication and doing what we say we will do.
